Why E-Commerce Website Security Scanner
The checkout page is where an e-commerce site extends the most trust to a customer, which is exactly why it's the highest-value target. Magecart-style attacks don't usually breach the server directly - they compromise a third-party JavaScript dependency (an analytics tag, a chat widget, an ad pixel) and use it to silently skim card details as the customer types, entirely on the client side.
PCI DSS 4.0's Requirement 11.6.1 formalizes this: merchants must now actively monitor and detect unauthorized changes to payment page scripts, not just run an annual scan. Subresource Integrity on every third-party script, and knowing exactly what JavaScript is loading on the checkout page at any given moment, has gone from best practice to an explicit compliance requirement.
Beyond the checkout page itself, session and cookie security on customer accounts, exposed staging or configuration endpoints, and CORS policy on any API the storefront calls are the other places real incidents tend to originate - none of which are visible from inside a store's own admin panel.
