Why React App Security Scanner
React doesn't have server-side vulnerabilities in the traditional sense - there's no template engine rendering untrusted input, no database driver to misconfigure by default. But everything that ships in the client bundle is fully visible to anyone who opens dev tools. Build-time environment variables, internal API endpoint paths, and feature flags baked into the bundle at compile time are all readable in plain text by any visitor.
The other recurring gap is Content-Security-Policy. It's a response header, not application code, so it lives at the hosting or CDN layer rather than inside the React codebase - which means it's easy to forget entirely during a stack migration, or to leave overly permissive because tightening it risks breaking a third-party widget nobody wants to touch.
Because both of these come from build configuration and hosting setup rather than from React's own rendering logic, a leaked key or a missing header can sit there silently for months until an external scan - or an actual incident - surfaces it.
